Thomas Calvet-Drouelle, a PhD candidate at CY Cergy Paris Université and member of the PLACES and ISTeP research laboratories, received the Best Poster Presentation Award at the 2026 11th International Conference on Big Data Analytics (ICBDA 2026), held from April 11 to 14, 2026, at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.

The conference, jointly organized with the 2026 10th International Conference on Innovation in Artificial Intelligence (ICIAI 2026), brought together researchers working on topics including big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and their scientific and industrial applications.

The award-winning poster, presented by Thomas Calvet-Drouelle, is based on his PhD project on the environmental strategies of companies in the digital sector. More specifically, it examines the environmental indicators disclosed by companies, the comparability of environmental data, and the evolution of corporate reporting practices using quantitative methods.

Receiving the Best Poster Presentation Award recognizes both the scientific quality of the presentation and the relevance of the research topic, which lies at the intersection of environmental data, quantitative analysis, and digital sustainability.

Special thanks to the poster session reviewers, Dr. Ameur Bensefia and Tamara Zhukabayeva, for their careful evaluation of the poster presentations.

This distinction further highlights the research carried out within the PLACES and ISTeP laboratories on contemporary environmental and digital transformations.
